LEAP Founding
The Law Enforcement Advisory Panel was formed in February of 2015 by a select group of law enforcement professionals around the State of Florida representing their respective geographic areas. Their agencies are members of the Florida Municipal Trust (FMIT), administered by the Florida League of Cities. These professionals are identified by the FMIT's Risk and Safety Consultants as actively interested in reducing risk in their respective fields.
Goals of LEAP:
- Foster a spirit of cooperation within the law enforcement community, to recognize that risk management is a key factor in reducing injury and tragedy within our ranks through training and policy review and providing perspective to the FMIT to effect best practices in pursuit of a reduction of risk.
- Mitigating risk through law enforcement education.
- Preventing and reducing law enforcement exposures to risk.
